Asa is one year old! We had so much fun celebrating this special boy of ours and all the memories we've made since he's been in our lives. As we were finishing up party preparations, Patrick commented, "We throwing our child a birthday party! We're parents!" Yep, one year later and it still feels a bit surreal. Our lives are full of so much joy and adventure because of Asa. We sure love being his mommy and daddy!
Nana, Papa, Jay and his family were here for the birthday festivities. Because Grant's birthday is the 13th of May we were celebrating him, too!
Asa really likes being around big kids these days. We're always excited to have the cousins over!
Asa didn't really understand the whole unwrapping-the-presents-thing. We're sure he'll have it down by Christmas!
Asa is such a busy boy so I knew the perfect gift for him would be a busy board. Papa helped me make it. (Thank you! Thank you!) As you can see, I was very excited to give it to him.
It is a hit! He spends lots of time each day at his board figuring out how everything works.
Thanks to Grant and Esther for showing Asa how to open presents and wear party hats like pros!
